I do my best to keep safe, I am a huge fan of jigs and clamps that keep my fingers far away from blades and my lines nice and straight. My saw doesn't even have a guard and none the equipment has much safety systems. A beat to hell 15in grizzly plainer that was 75$ a Craigslist homemade belt sander for 25$ I spent a looooong time casually looking for deals, but unfortunately deals don't happen when it comes to new safety features. My table saw is a old craftsman I got for 20$ at s garage sale and spent 30$ to buy a motor to upgrade it with. Unfortunately the cost of every tool in my entire workshop added together us significantly less than a sawstop.
